Minor Project_ Style development

After I have created a simple model in Maya and UV it, these are some images I was making the process of texturing. I tried not to lose my drawing style in maya and these are some experiments I have been exploring.
I have put a transparent outline around the model to make it blurry and effective.

  1. These are very interesting Candice, but I think you need everything to be simpler - and for the line art to give form and detail to the shell shape underneath - so not a 'pattern' on the surface, but an outline of the shell itself : something more like this?

Think about it as a drawing of a shell turned 3 dimensional - I think it needs more control and more craft :)
